Error - View Single Post - There are 3 automatic updates in my taskbar that will not update

have you checked your 'Add /Remove Programs' applet -- WITH Display Updates 'checked' to see if they have already been installed?
That would cause a failure.

You can also copy your entire Office CD to your hard drive in it's own folder -- in case the update is looking for certain msi files.
(I saw where you tried putting the actual CD in the drive).
