Question: hey guys recently i started having problems with crashes whenever i want to right-click on a folder/file. if i go into my harddrive and right-click on a file, or try to right-click move, or drag, or ctrl-c, it causes an error message. "windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs...."
if i view the error report, it reads..
appname: explorer.exe appver: 6.0.2900.2180 modname: kernel32.dll
modver: 5.1.2600.2945 offset: 00012a5b
some of the things that i try to see if i can fix it is by going to regedit, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
and deleting one context menu handler after the other, and then try each time in windows explorer whether right-click/Ctrl+C works again to find out if there is a defective extension.
it did not work.
