I hope this will kinda solve your problem if you run into soundcard problem. At windows, goto the control panel, then multimedia, double click on that to check all your multimedia( sounds as a whole), try to maximize all the volume and uncheck any checks that you see at Mute. Once you have done that, press on apply and then OK. If this doesnt work, I beleive your soundcard software is corrupted, and the computer cannot be able to detect it, so what you must do is to reinstall the soundcard software by simply clicking on the Add New HardDrive --->Next------->choose NO---->At the Hardware type,scroll down and select the icon Sound,video, and game controller---------->then choose a compatible soundcard driver for your computer. Once its installed, it prompts you to safely restart the windows to finish the installation.
