I really need help in what to look for next on this issue.
I am running SBS 2003 with Exchange 2003. I am not using ISA on SBS, instead I have a SonicWall as my firewall. I opened the ports on the firewall for OWA (80 & 443). I have run the CEICW to configure the connection and issue a certificate. Email works fine under current configuration (port 25 open for Exchange). If I am remotely connected to the network over the VPN I can access OWA only by entering in:
https://servername/exchange and this works if I am on the network locally as well.
Offsite however with no VPN connection I am enter
https://mail.domainname.com/exchange and am told by IE7 that there is a problem with this website's security certificate. If I continue to the website (not recommended by IE7) it says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
I do have mail.domainname.com set with the proper MX records or my Exchange Server would not be working. I feel this is dealing with the certificate, but I don't know where to look from here if the server generated the certificate with the CEICW. Where do I go from here?
On a side note, I am trying to get this working before I move on to getting the mobile devices working with ActiveSync.
