Error - View Single Post - How can you tell when a drive crashes in a RAID5 configuration?

Question: OK, this is probably a very stupid question with a very obvious answer.

If you have a RAID5 with four hard drives and a hardware RAID card, how can you tell if one of the drives crashes? Will it just keep going before you put a new drive back in so it can rebuild it?
