file sharing problem - ethernet network thru netgear router of vista and XP systems. shared vista files with least restrictions and they show up on the XP system via 'my network places' under the category of the internet. When the files are selected on the XP the message 'file not accessible. might not have permission to use network resource. contact administrator ... yada, yada, yada.'
folders shared from the XP used to ghost the vista system across network for backup have been mapped on the vista and are accessible.
windows and norton fire walls are turned off. nothing extrordinary was done on either system to establish adminsitrators.
