I'm running Vista the Home Premium edition on Alienware laptop. For some unknown reason the Windows Security Center says that Defender is turned off and will not turn-on. Otherwise it seems to work and you can run a manual scan. Tied to this problem, the Security Center says an anti-viral program is not installed. McAfee is installed and works normally. Any ideas how to fix this?
