IE works fine if I do not try to save the open tabs. The crash is: Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close... AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6000.16414 ModName: nppw.dll ModVer: 2006.1.0.41 Offset: 0003b9c1 and says it has a solution and sends me to: http://wer.microsoft.com/responses/Respo Run the Norton Confidential tool to fix this problem This problem was caused by Norton Confidential. Norton Confidential was created by Symantec Corporation. Solution ---------------------------------------- To solve this problem, you will need to run the automatic update tool that comes with Norton Confidential. To learn how to use the tool, go to the Symantec Corporation website. This des not help - I have Norton Internet Security 2007 installed, but not Norton Confidential and can not find a solution. Any ideas how to fix this? |

http://www.majorgeeks.com/ 1. If no joy, an addon my be interfering. Disable Addons. Go to Tools > Add-on Manager, and uncheck the addons. 2. Reset IE settings. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Click on "Reset" button. Click OK. Close all browsers. Reboot the computer. 3. Check if a program running in the background is interfering with Internet Explorer. Temporarily disable antivirus, firewall, antispyware, ad-blocker, popup blocker, and all Norton programs. 4. Uninstall and reinstall IE7. Make sure you have the latest updates. |
