Default Internet Explorer won't display www.paypal.com

Question: Can anyone help me figure out why www.paypal.com won't display in Internet Explorer? I can get to many other secure web sites, no problem. Under HELP - About Internet Explorer, the cipher strength says 128 bit. Please help!

Take a look in this folder for a file called Hosts. It is a straight ASCII file that can be edited with Notepad.

\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

You might have an entry in there for any website you cannot reach. Delete that line or those lines. Make sure the file is resaved as Hosts (without a file name extension) and not as, for example, Hosts.txt.

Did you ever find the cause of this problem? I have the latest IE, Firefox, and Safari. I cant view Paypal in any of them. I get a few readable letters and the reast is question matks or small empty squares, depending on the browser. In Firefox I can view the page if I first click "translate this page with bablefish" but I cannot take any actions. I have no reference to paypal in the above mentioned "Hosts" file.

Thanks,
Alan

I don't experience that problem because I'm not using IE when opening paypal.
Just use Firefox because it's the one i'm using and I have no problem with it.
