I am trying to add an SBS certificate to my computer. Every time I visit the company site at: http://sub.domain.com/remote or http://sub.domain.com/exchange, I recieve an error about the site's security. I click on the continue button, then I see the certificate error in the upper right after the url and click on it to see the cert information. I try installing the certificate from here and I get a message stating that the cert was imported successfully, but I still recieve the error when I go to the remote web workplace or try to access exchange. WIth IE6 the import worked correctly. I am running Vista Home Premium and have added the domain to the trusted sites in IE7,

Not true...you can still install the certificate in IE7, it's actually Vista that's making it harder.

Right-click Internet Explorer and choose to run as Administrator. Then you can hit the box to view certificate and install it. This should fix the problem about it prompting.

But an SSL certificate isn't terribly expensive, and from an administrative point of view, it's easier getting one than to deal with trying to install it on the possible home machines that might be connecting (and the laptops especially need it in order to configure Outlook's RPC over HTTP). So I make it a policy to always get real SSL certificates for my clients.
