Here are the things I have tried that did not fix this issue: 1. Ran "Detect and Repair..." 2. Logged in as Admin, renamed profile, logged back in and created new profile. 3. Updated all Windows updates for Office 2003. 4. Started Outlook in safe mode. None of these fixed the high CPU usage. Does anyone have any further suggestions? |

Good news, I have been having the same exact problem as you and just resolved the problem from a guy on another forum. Read and try the solution below:Good luck and please pass on the solution to one or more people. George. Assuming that the preinstalled software which comes with any dell is still intact it may be adventageous to remove OutlookAddinSetup. This should be able to be done via the Add/Remove programs dialog. The OutlookAddinSetup is integrated with Dell MediaDirect, which in some instances can have a positive effect, while at other times can cause many unwanted problems. Try uninstalling the OutlookAddinSetup and see what happens. |
