Default "Convert to Adobe PDF" Context Menu Item can only covert 21 files at a time

Question: Acrobat Standard 6.0...I select a group of 73 word documents, right click and choose "Convert to Adobe PDF" and get the error

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat Elements\Acrobat Elements.exe
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

Apparently the acrobat elements .exe is part of the Acrobat Standard 6.0 install. I've verified the permissions and I do have permissions to access the file. After some testing we found that as long as we select 21 or fewer files then right click and choose the option is works correctly (and task manager shows "Acrobat Elements.exe" as a process, so it is clear that the permissions on the .exe work). Is anyone familiar with this apparent limitation and do you know of a way around it?

I just tried this with Acrobat 8, and I get the following error message when I select too many files:

"Too many files selected. Windows Command line limit exceeded by 3250 character(s). Please select fewer files and then convert to Adobe PDF." It looks like they came up with a better error message in 8.
