Default Sync Problems: Windows Mobile / Treo 750v

Question: I have a Palm Treo 750v that runs Windows Mobile 5.

It was syncing fine, but the syncing with PC is not working anymore (for a week).

I get the error that it can not make a connection:

Unable to establish a connection between the PC and the device. Get up-to-date solutions to common connection problems. Please click the following link:

No additional known issues have been found.
If you are still experiencing problems please send the results to Microsoft to help improve future versions.


This is using USB. I have tried 2 different cables.

I have tried ActiveSync 4.2 and 4.5.

I have tested my laptop with another Treo 750v and it synced fine.

My Treo is syncing fine with Exchange over the air.... It is just syncing with the PC that is a problem!

Any ideas how to fix this?

I would try to create a new profile if possible.

Also try doing just a backup.

I suspect that neither will help and that the issue is bad hardware on the Treo for the USB port, but it is worth a shot.

IF UNDER MaINTENaNCE, GET IT REPLACED

The last test is trying to hook it up to a different machine.
