Asus P5n32-sli se deluxe - not so deluxe

Happy New Year, I'm building, with all new parts, this pc, Asus P5N32 SLI SE Deluxe, Intel Core2 Duo Extreme x6800, Corsair Twinx2048mb pc6400 ddr2 800,
XfxGeForce 7950 gx2 1gb dual,Thermaltake toughpower 850 watt, Cooler master 48 cpu fan, WD 320gig sata, Sony dvdrw,
Sb Audigy 2 zs. When I boot it freezes after 10 seconds or 10 minutes, it changes each time. I got about half way through an XP install once.I have tried a rebuild 3 times. It's acting like a heat problem but I have thrown different fans, coolers, even a house fan. To the touch everything is cool.I tried just 1 stick of ram, same thing. I also took out everything but the video card, hard drive, 1 stick of memory. Same thing it booted then froze. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, live CDs are crashing.

So its coming down to power supply or motherboard. Test power supply on another machine. No joy, use the warranty.
