Question: I am using Outlook 2003. Out of the blue I find I cannot open any .JPG and .JPEG files. When I try I get the following error report - "c:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Inernet Files\OLK##\IMG###.JPG could not be opened" where # is a digit/s.

My default image viewer is Nero PhotoSnap Viewer.

I followed the above path and cannot find a "Temporary Internet Files" folder although there is a "Temp" folder.

Glad you found the temporary files. Your original question is that you could not open JPG file. It was getting stuck at OLKxx folder. Since you found the files in OLKxx folder, delete them. You can delete all the files in the OLKxx folder. Now you should be able to open JPG file.
