Default PST has reached maximum size limit

Question: I have a user that I upgraded from Outlook 2000 (Office 2000) to Outlook 2003 (Office 2003) very recently. This users pst was approaching the 2gb limit so I decided to upgrade.

This user just received a "pst has reached maximum size limit" message. I thought the size limit of the pst in Outlook 2003 was 20GB?

Please don't tell me that we need to convert the PST file manually. I see we can now create two types of PST in OUtlook 2003. Do I need to creat a 2003 version of the PST and then import from the old version? Is this what I need to do?

Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Outlook 2003 DOES have a limit of 20GB, and you shouldn't begin receiving warnings until you hit 18GB. If you are using an older PST version (pre-Outlook 2003) and have already migrated that data into your Outlook 2003, I would suggest you do go ahead and create a new PST and re-import it on the account.
