A reader asks:
"At some point after I installed MSO 2003, several month's Calendars appeared at the top of the Navigation Pane. Now, only one appears along with stuff I don't need or want, like the My Calendars and Current View Sections. How can I get rid of those 2 sections and have at least 2, preferably 3, months' Calendars to appear above the navigation buttons?"
If you have the Views list in the navigation pane, disable it (Views, Show in Navigation pane). You can also right click on any calendar in the group lists and remove it, but you can't remove the groups.
Reducing the navigation pane buttons to one row increases the space available for more calendars.
You can drag the edge inward to show more calendars in a row, or if Outlook is not at full screen, drag the top or bottom edges to make the Outlook window taller - depending on the size of your screen, this may add another calendar to the view. Hiding toolbars (or putting them on one row) also helps.
For any version of Outlook: if you want to see a lot of navigation calendars, enlarge the Taskpad. (In Outlook 2003, showing the taskpad removes the calendars from the left and displays them on the right.) Drag the separator down to hide tasks and pull the inner edge as far to the left as it will go. Depending on your screen resolution, you can have several year's worth of navigation calendars displayed at once.
Just remember you need to drag the edges at least one calendar height or width to show another row or column of calendars.
