CD Rom and DVD Rom not Running

well i am using a laptop and it has a CD RW/ DVD RW in 1 and so i went to play some bf2 and the server didn't allow tanks so isaid i am out and he did a command and now my CD RW / DVD RW wont work. wont run cd's or anything.. wont even show up on windows

Go to Device Manager and check if it's there and if it's enabled
if it's disabled u can simple enable again
if it isn't listed there, the IDE controller must be disabled

wow, then ur IDE controller is damaged/disabled
if it's disabled (i guess)
go into the BIOS by pressing DEL (or any other key shown when booting) when booting
then search for IDE (might be noted as ATA or PATA) and check if it's disabled, if so enable it
if u can't find it there, or it's enabled then ur IDE controller is probably damaged or it's somehow software based disabled(don't ask me how to enable...)
