i am using xp+sp2 version

and after installing
after onemonth later now it once switched off by itself and trying to restart but its checking the floppy drive for the bootup disk which doesnot exist
it happened for 3 times


and when i changed it in the bios i mean i disabled it (flopy drive )
now it is running properly
and i got a error mesage called from windows os stating the log report
i dont remember the file names but
they are like
minidmp.tmp
sys***.xml

what is the probable problem i have
do help me

there was a bug going around like this that, would make your pc shut down/restart whenever you accessed IE, but if this is not the case with you i would think that if it hardshuts(like just turns off), it may be a problem with hard ware. it may be anything ranging from a faulty power supply, if you added any hardware, to overheating of the cpu, where you could actually download motherboard monitor |MG| Free Download - Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7.0. if thats not the case i would suggest updating your virus database and doing a scan, download avg antivirus too so you can have a 2nd oppinion on the scan, sometimes one will catch what the other misses. if that doesnt work salvage what you can off the drive, and reinstall your OS.
