1. Windows 2003 AD infrastructure
2. WSUS running on DC
3. GPO's point IE to WSUS server for Windows XP updates (all workstations are SP2)
4. User's have Admin rights to their workstations (not my choice, due to special application)
5. WindowsUpdate.log indicates a series of hr=80072ee7 and hr=8024402c errors
6. Windows clients appear to have appropriate registry entries and point to the correct URL for WSUS server.

Although not a common error (based on google, Microsoft etc..) I'm inclined to believe it's DNS and/or communications error. If it is, then why does the client diagnostic tool pass? I have been banging my head on this one.
