I have installed WSUS 2.0 for the first time on one of my servers. I can successfully connect to the web interface and download updates from Microsoft. The problem is actually getting the client computers to show up in the WSUS server. I have AD running so I attempted to configure a GPO to handle the client updating automatically, which has not worked so far. Here is a detailed breakdown of my GPO settings:

In the scope tab, under Security Filtering, I have specified two computers I am trying to test out. Also, by default, Authenticated Users is listed as well. I have this GPO linked at the domain level - just to make sure it was not getting missed. I also have this enforced. I have run gpupdate / force as well as the MS noted command wuauclt.exe /detector - just to be sure it was not a timing delay.

So far, neither of the two computers I specified are showing up in the WSUS admin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The admin console is only available to domain admins. That behaviour is normal.
If you had outlined that you had installed WSUS on a non standard port, then it would have been obvious. I always deploy WSUS using port 443 (SSL) and port 80 (if available). This allows everything to run over standard ports. It didn't even occur to me to check that the port was different - I assumed that was something that you had already set.
