Default Remote Desktop will not connect

I have a member server 2003 SP1 which was working jussssssst fine until monday morning. I found that I could not connect through Remote desktop. I can log on to the console and locally without issue.

When I attempt to connect via RDP, I get an error that says:
"To log on to this remote computer you must have Terminal Server User Access permissions on this computer."
Then it goes on to say tha i have to be a member of the Remote Desktpo User group. I am an admin on the box, as well as an explicit member of the RDU group locally, so I should have permissions.

Additionally in the Event viewer on the Box, I get an Event ID 1010. The Terminal Server could not locate a license server.

Terminal Services is installed on the box. If I'm remembering my Terminal services properly, there is a remote admin mode, as well as a term services mode. How can I get it back to Remote admin?

Of course I'm still not sure why, no, of all times it is not letting me in. Unless there is a 120 temp license now that used to be 30 days.

Default Re: Remote Desktop will not connect

You can't trick it. Uninstall terminal server and use remote desktop (you can do this at the properties of your system and check the remote desktop option). It will work. You can deinstall TS and go further with remote desktop.

but can't say if every program will keep working if you deinstall TS (the programs you have installed after TS is installed can have a problem).

Remote desktop will not connect you default to the console (or use the mstsc /console option) nadeemv.
