I want to keep this simple, so do not wish to establish any trusts or join the domains, nor do I really want to edit the hosts file on the PCs. |

If so, on the DNS Server for site A, open the properties for the Server, select Forwarders, then under "DNS Domain" select "New..." and the name of the remote domain, in the box beneath enter the IP Address(es) of the DNS Server for that remote domain. Do the same on the other domain. That'll deal with Name Resolution. Just remember that you will have to use Fully Qualified Domain Names unless you add the remote domain to the DNS Suffix Search List on all your clients (which can be done in Group Policy, Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Network, DNS Client and the DNS Suffix Search List option). |
