All my workstations are running on dynamic IP's. I want to reserve these 4 IP on my server before I connect the devices to my network. How can I create 4 static IP's on AD for these devices. |

to assign a static IP to any machine simply go into the properties of the NIC and assign a free IP on the same subnet as your network, assign the gateway, and assign a DNS server. to assign a reservation in DHCP, just go to the DHCP console and set it up... what this will to is 'reserve' that IP in DHCP so it is only handed out to that one machine (via its mac address) |
