Default Slow log on for Windows XP clients on Windows 2003 Server.

It's a small business with Windows Server 2003 server and 6 Windows XP clients. We had never had such problem but recently, when we try to log on.. it takes at least 5~15minutes before logging into Windows. I'm not an expert to know all the computer terms and such, however I am the one who's at the company that needs to resolve this matter. Is there a way I can fix this problem?
Recently, 2 new computers and users had been added to the domain server. I think it started since then. Please, help me reparing this problem. Thank you.

Default Re: Slow log on for Windows XP clients on Windows 2003 Server.

If the clients receive IP addressing from a DHCP server / or router, you need to remove the .1 DNS entry from the Scope and/or Server properties so that it isn't being handed out to the clients.

If your server is running DHCP then type, "dhcpmgmt.msc" (less the quotes) at the Run box and hit ENTER.
Expand the server name.
Expand Scope.
Select Scope Options.
If there is an entry for 005 or 006 that shows the .1 address then double click it.
Select the .1 address in the lower left window and click on Remove.

Repeat the same for Server options.

You want to remove the .1 DNS entry as it is not correct for Active Directory lookups.
