I installed 2003 SP1 just last week and finished building the server this morning. I am the Administrator. Sometime between Friday and today (Monday) - terminal services / RDP stopped working. It did work on Friday. Some facts: - If I right click my computer, get properties and pick "remote" the checkbox for "Allow users to remotely connect to this computer" is grayed out. I cannot check it. -Although terminal services is running and no errors/warnings appear in the Event Viewer, port 3389 is not listening. I go to the command prompt and perform a "netstat -an". No port 3389. I've removed then re-added terminal server from "add/remove windows components" but that doesn't help. The TS license service is running fine (on the same machine). -No virus or spyware is present. I installed symantec AV as soon as I build the machine. I'm considering copy the "Terminal Services" registry key from a Windows 2003 TS I build a few months ago.....not sure what to do with this. |
