Default Help, Backup Failing - SBS 2003 Standard

Hi, I am using the standard backup procedure on my SBS 2003 sever, on to a 4mm tape - it is an HP ProLiant ML150 server. The last two backups have given the following error, I can not find anything that may solve it, please help,

05/07/2005 23:30
-------------------------------
Date: 05/07/2005
Time: 23:30
User: SYSTEM
-------------------------------

Backup Runner started.
GetTapeMediaPoolName failed. (0x80070015)
GetBackupDestination failed. (0x80070015)
LaunchNTBackup failed. (0x80070015)
NTBackup finished the backup with errors.

For more information about failed backups, see the article on troubleshooting your backup at the following Web page: Troubleshooting Windows Small Business Server 2003

Backup ended at 05 July 2005 23:31
Backup error finished with error code 0X80070015.

Please help, the backup starts at 23:30 and the error seems to occur imediately.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, this kind of thing is why I now have all of my clients using USB hard drives... they just seem to always work (as long as we use only about 60% of the drive so there is room to defrag). You can usually find 120GB 2.5" external drives for under $150.00 now. They're as portable as handling a two or three DATs and significantly easier to use. Depending on your off-site requirements, you need at least three of them for decent rotation.

I know that's not an answer to your question... but it seems that you're not the only one with this kind of problem: backup problem > Small Business Server Support Forum - English > Smallbizserver.Net
