scheduled backups to ftp

I need to configure daily backups (specific folders to a ftp location) on my windows 2003.
Could you help how to do this using the backup scheduler?

I tried to use a backup application, but the connection to the ftp returns a socket error 11004.
What does this mean?

You're going to need to create a batch file as outlined here: Using FTP Batch Scripts

You can alter the specifics below, but this is the basis of it:

set ftpScr=c:\connect.scr
echo open 11.11.11.11>>%ftpScr%
username>>%ftpScr%
password>>%ftpScr%
lcd c:\backupfolder>>%ftpScr%
mput *.*>>%ftpScr%
quit>>%ftpScr%
ftp -s:c:\connect.scr
