I am looking at short cut properties, under Start | All Programs | Microsoft Office | Microsoft Outlook. Normally, short cuts reveal where the program runs from (Target). This shortcut does not. Nor do any of the office short cuts. This is a mystery. This is just weird. I have never noticed this before. Any comments or light? |

OFF2000: Unable to Modify Office Shortcuts OFF2000: Unable to Modify Office Shortcuts In case you want to find out where the shortcut is actually pointing to, you can do that with a command line tool: Freeware shortcut.exe creates shortcuts from the command-line. http://www.jsifaq.com/SF/Tips/Tip.aspx?id=6035 Save shortcut.exe someplace in the path (C:\Windows will do, for example), open a command prompt, cd into the startmenu folder with the links, and enter shortcut /a:q /f:"Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.lnk" (or whatever the name of the shortcut is). |
