I am currently testing 2003 in my lab and am reading though the Microsoft windows 2003 admin companion. now that i have the server up and running and active directory installed I am trying to set up user home folders. In chapter 10 it states that in order to do this I have to create a folder named "Home Folder", click on sharing and security, click on the sharing tab and select "share this folder", then click the security tab and assign "Full Control" to the users group. So I have done this, however when I then go into the user accounts and go to the profiles tab and select Connect options. I choose "H" and add the path \\Server-Name\Home Folders\%username% I get the following error.
home folder was not created because you do not have create access on the server.
I have been told that I could use my documents redirection, however the point is that I am concerned that if this part of the book cant be relied on how can I believe anything that is in it.
