Windows Vista Tip: Offer Remote Assistance

In Windows XP the Remote Assistance feature was built into the Help and Support Center and the task of “Offering” Remote Assistance was a bit daunting. You would have to launch Help and Support Center then search for “Offer Remote Assistance”. This drove many people to create a shortcut that would automatically launch the “Offer” UI.
In Windows Vista Microsoft has decoupled Remote Assistance from the Help and Support center and made it a standalone executable. This new executable MSRA.exe has been enhanced to offer you the ability to pass command line parameter and automate some of what was manual before. For example, if you want to offer remote assistance in Windows Vista you can run MSRA /Expert and it will launch straight to the Offer UI. If you know the computer name or IP address you can use MSRA /offerRA [computer].

Additional command line options are available for MSRA to see all the available options run MSRA /?
