I have just upgraded to Windows Vista Business and I am trying to carry out a simple process of copying files and folders from my remote web server using the Windows FTP.

When I paste the files into a location within my wwwroot directory I get the message:

error copying file or folder
Access denied

I don't undertand why as I am logged in as an admniistrator.

Please help!

You're correct that permissions are preventing you from copying files to ceratain locations in vista. For example, you can't "move" files from your personal account to a folder in the program files directory. This is prevent unauthorized programs from accessing program space. Inetput i believe falls under that protection scheme. I've worked around it by either "copying" files, or using an access folder that doesn't exist in my account space but not in protected windows spacer either. For example, a random folder on D drive.
