Epson Twain with Vista Home Premium

Has anyone made a scanner work with Vista Home Premium. I have an Epson Perfection 1260 and can't get the Twain drivers to install. I got the latest from Epson's website and also tried the CD that came with the scanner. Same error on both. Here is the message:

Component Transfer Error
Component: ICM_2
File Group: _EW_Profiles
File: <szICCPath>\
Error: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Any ideas????

Sorry to have not replied for so long.

I went to the driver support page for the scanner you mentioned. They don't have any Vista drivers listed. Unfortunately, even if you have the latest XP drivers they probably won't work with Vista. However, this FAQ on Epson's site suggests that you keep checking back for Vista drivers. Epson Perfection 1260, FAQ - Technical Support - Epson America, Inc.

I think you are just going to have to either get a new scanner or play the waiting game for Vista drivers for that model.
