Problem with Vista search, executing applications.

Question: In Vista, when I do a search for example for "word", Microsoft Word appears at the top of the list, but when I click on it, or highlight it and press enter, it does not launch the application. I have a quick launch keystroke assigned to it (CTRL+ALT+W) which does work, and I can go Start>All Programs>Applications>Microsoft Office>Word and it works fine. It is office XP pro if that matters.

Other applications do work, for example photoshop and wordpad, but none of the office apps work. Any suggestions?

You said it was a shortcut - where does that shortcut point to? (r/click and choose Properties - see the Target)
