Usb mouse not working on vista

Question: i have a usb mouse that i can't install on windows vista, it doesn't have a manufacturer name on the mouse but does have the following p/n: usb-8000 and model: spm001 .

Is their a generic usb mouse driver that i can use to get it to work with vista?

Sounds like a driver problem to me.

Since yours is a generic mouse problem. You can try putting your mouse in an XP system. Tehy should detect it and then you can find out exactly what model your mouse is. And try to search the web for that same model for Vista.

do check also your system properties if there is another mouse installed. Could be driver conflict.
