XP is back. Dell is saying XP will be available as an option on four Inspiron notebooks and two Dimension desktops.
Dell's change of attitude could be based on the feedback they're getting on their
IdeaStorm page. The site gives users, and potential customers, a chance to tell the company what they think. After reading an entry, you can agree or disagree with the comment by giving it a thumbs up or down.
And buyers are giving Dell an earful about what they want -- and definitely don't want -- on a new PC. One entry -- "
Don't eliminate XP just yet" -- picked up more than 11,000 votes.
To hear what others are saying about whether they want to buy machines sold with Vista or XP, stick "XP" in the search field on the upper right corner of the IdeaStorm page.
