OCZ has announced a new USB 2.0 flash drive optimized for Windows Vista. The OCZ VBoost lets users to take advantage of ReadyBoost feature on Vista which allows you speed up your computer turning your USB flash drive into a supplemental cache memory for faster retrieval and storage of system data and applications.

The new VBoost also features a retractable USB connector and will come in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB models. No pricing on these new items yet, but we still have to wonder how cost effective these can be compared to an actual RAM upgrade. There has been already a long debate on whether ReadyBoost is just a marketing trick or not (on Microsoft's part).
