Ok, so let me explain, messenger was working completely fine until I installed a Linksys WAG200G router, now I cannot login to messenger, however when I open messenger and goto Tools then Options, I select Connection and Advanced Settings, and for TCP I click on Test, I get this result :- Resolving the server name... Connecting to the server... Connected, verifying ability to send data now... Success, you can connected to the Windows Live Messenger service. However when I try signing in I receive : Error Code : 81000306 Ok, so you would probably put it down to the router, now heres the crazy part, my upstairs computer running XP and connects by wireless can sign me into Messenger with no problems at all. So, where does the problem lie, I have spent hours trying to troubleshoot this and getting nowhere. |
