VPN Cingular

I am running a SBS 2003 server. Our email is brought to the exchange server via pop3. My boss has a sony viao laptop with vista business, I set him up on a MS VPN to connect to the server to get his email. He is using Cingular wireless. He can get connected to the VPN but cannot get his email or connect to the server data drive. It has connected before a few times, but for the most part it wont get the email

The VPN connection. In theory the RRAS server in your site should be giving him the correct DNS address to use, I just want you to check that it actually is giving it and that the PC is using it for primary DNS resolution.
