Problem upgrading from Vista Home Basic to Home Premium with online purchase.

I have a client with a new laptop with Vista Home Basic. He purchased the upgrade to Vista Home Premium online and apparently on the confirmation page there was a link to download some file which is now lost as that page is gone. There was supposed to be an email sent but that did not happen. There is a text version with the order number. The Laptop came with the 'Upgrade Anytime' disk but it asks him to buy the upgrade. And around we go.
Any way out of this loop without repurchase the upgrade and them dealing with the credit card company?

According to this the download file has specific information in it so you can't just download it from anywhere:
