Windows Mail in Vista: Deleted Messages not going into Deleted Items Folder

Using Windows Mail on a Vista Premium based system. My real email is on AOL
and I am using Windows Mail to view it. The mail is displayed properly but the
problem I am having is that when I delete a message in Windows Mail it does not
go into the Deleted Items Folder I have checked and recheck all the properties
and option settings and have not been able to get any of my deleted messages
to go into the Deleted Items Folder.

AOL uses IMAP protocol. Since the emails are really on AOL server when you view them in Windows Mail, deletion is different. When you delete an email in IMAP, a line is drawn through the title. Do delete the email permanently, go to Edit > Purge to delete.
