Blue Screening Vista Home Premium not fun

I have just installed NEW motherboard and NEW PSU into my media centre box with not the best results. i have a feeling it is some software but would like some opinions on other possible cuases

The system is running Vista home Premium so thqat is possibly m y first problem. I would drop back to XP MCE but I can't handle the several hours of updates it now requires.
Motherboard - Asrock ConRoe1333 DVI/H M/board - i945G
RAM - 2 x 512MB CORSAIR VALUE SELECT 533MHZ
HDD - 2 x SAMSUNG 80GB SATA II
DVB-T - Avermedia 777

here is a list of the wonderfull blue screens I am getting
BAD_POOL_HEADER
PAGE_FAULT_NON_PAGE_HEADER
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
NTFS.SYS
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

i would like to be more specific but vista replaces the common names in the event viewer with Blue Screen. I have switched of a program that may be cuasing it but was hopping to get some direction of where to look. I will eventualy find it but not sure if I have the time to spare.

i w ould start with testing the ram - it's a good first step ; use memtest86+ from Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
or test with these :
