POP3/SMTP Internet Account Using port 110 and 25. I can download all pop3 emails just fine... but when I try to send, the email goes through the outbox folder and shows up in the sent folder. Almost immediately after it shows up in the sent folder i get the following message. ( I have replaced the email address with a fake one for this question). I have tried many different email address and the same thing happens. My configuration does require and I have selected it, that smtp requires authentication using the pop3 information and have manually tested my account configuration using telnet to my email providers smtp server. That seems to work just fine. As well, using Microsoft XP and Office 2003, It works just fine now problems at all. Additionally, I've removed my antivirus software (avast) so am not running any antivirus software, only the default Vista firewall stuff is enable Error message: From: System Administrator Subject: Undeliverable: Hello David Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. 1. Register an important send/receive library file. Go to Start > Run and type regsvr32 inetcomm.dll 2. Besides antivirus, check if other programs running in the background is interfering. Disable one at a time the Firewall, antispyware, antispam, and all Norton programs. 3. In the account settings, Advanced settings, change the server timeout time from 1 min to 5 min 4. Check if outgoing mail server authentication is required. Select that option in account settings. Instead of using same settings as incoming server, type in the login name and password. 5. Create a new Outlook profile. Create a New Outlook Profile |
