An early look at Windows Vista
The DVD arrived a few days later and soon I was watching the hour-long installation taking place. It was largely a hands-off affair. My first impression of Vista when it opened was pleasure at its Northern Lights startup screen. For many users, the much improved look and feel of the graphics will be the most welcome change. Even with change, though, it was reassuring to see all the usual bells and whistles: Start Menu, Quick Launch buttons, system tray and taskbar. And, sure, there was the Desktop picture and system icons including the good ole Recycle Bin. |
