Default Toshiba Satelite Notebook P200 Fails to Boot (VISTA OS)

I own a new Toshiba P200 Satelite Note book which has become faulty.
VISTA Home Professional OS.
As of last night, when I press the on / off button, the power indicator illuminates and stays on while powered up, the HDD icon illuminates for a milisecond only, and then does nothing.
No system fans are turning, and no HDD sound is heard. No BIOS Beeps.
The DVD drive light is illuminated, but does not spin up.
Screen remains blank. The battery is charged from what I can tell.
? BIOS fault ???
? Fried HDD????
I have opened the DVD drive, and inserted disk 1 of the Recovery disk I created 2 weeks ago and turned power on, but it does not read or spin up.
I'm currently deployed in the Middle East, and so am a bit annoyed with this, (my first Toshiba) to say the least.
Any suggestions?
My only other option is rto send it back to Australia under warrenty, but this is a logistical nightmare from where I'm at right now!
Thanks for your help, and best wishes.

Looks like its fried - send it back for replacement under warranty - any fidlling may void any claim you have.
