I need to change my OS to XP, untill Vista became more stable, but I want to be able to use important hardware function, like HDD protection, hotkey configuration, fn keys, notebook control, modem, biometry, etc. All of this would be possible if Sony allow me to install drivers and applications offered to Vaio SZ390P, for instance, as this notebook have the same hardware, but with XP instead of Vista. When I try to do this, the installation program tell me that driver/software is not suitable for my notebook (SZ491N). I got install some hardwares through Toshiba, Acer, etc, but it´s an absurd the lack of support from Sony. If I got a way to "deceive" the install program in order to make my notebook seems to be a "390P", I´m sure I would be able to install almost everything. I tried to do this changing the model number at Windows XP registry, but it doesn´t work...
