Vista won't sleep again.

Question: Vista does not go to sleep again I found that my vista will not go to sleep after inactivity if it was waken up once. The PC will go to sleep if I had a clean power up. After I woke the machine up from sleep, it will no longer go to sleep anymore.

There are a lot of problems with Vista sleep mode, you may not be able to fix it.

You may need to wait for SP1.

Try Vista System File Checker to help fix any system file errors:

Click Start » All Programs » Accessories.
Right click Command Prompt.
Select Run as Administrator.

At the command prompt type
sfc /scannow (dont miss the space before the /)
Click OK.
