I have a client with an HP machine with a Quad processor, 3 gig ram and Vista Home Premium. When he goes to Internet Explorer, most sites work fine, however there are some sites that consistently shut down internet explorer. We have tried typing the URL's, accessing them from favorites (they worked fine up until a few days ago). Vista opens a dialog box and says "IE must shut down, checking for a solution to the problem." IE shuts down but there is no further info from Vista regarding the problem. I did a system restore to before it started happening, but it continues to happen. In the Event Viewer I am getting the following message. Event ID 1000 "Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16512, time stamp 0x46807103, faulting module nppw.dll, version 2006.1.0.54, time stamp 0x4594389e, exception code 0xc000000d, fault offset 0x000390f1, process id 0xe94, application start time 0x01c7e977404136f0." The client claims he has not loaded anything on the machine since it was initially set up a couple of months ago...the problem started less then a week ago.
