Default Now Available: Adobe PDF Library for Windows 64-bit Platform

Datalogics, Inc. announces the immediate availability of the Adobe® PDF Library™ with native 64-bit platform support on Windows. With this release, software developers can now integrate native 64-bit PDF processing capabilities into the applications they provide for 64-bit platforms including Windows Server 2003, XP Professional and Vista operating systems.
"We’ve seen tremendous interest in true 64-bit support," says Kevin McNeill, VP Operations. "Our customers are utilizing the Adobe PDF Library API in a wide range of highly-demanding applications: complex color transformations and manipulation of billboard-sized PDF documents; validation and processing of huge PDF repositories for conformance to PDF/A for long-term archival purposes; creation of RIP-optimized print streams in highly available variable data printing applications. This release enables those customers to take full advantage of the performance benefits of native 64-bit processing throughout their application, and also positions them well for the upcoming Vista release."
This release brings the total number of 64-bit platforms available from Datalogics to eight, including Sun Solaris, HP PA-RISC, HP Itanium, and Tru64.
Specifications, Availability and Pricing
The Win64 release of the Adobe PDF Library (APDFL) has been certified under Windows XP Professional x64 and Windows Server 2003 x64 editions for both Intel and AMD64 processors. It is packaged as a collection of 64-bit DLLs and header files for APDFL and DLI, created using the MS Developer Studio 2005 x64 compiler and SDK. Sample projects include MS Developer Studio 2005 solution files with both Win32 and x64 configurations.
