Futuremark Enables MS Vista Benchmarking
This news is a little old, but I never posted it when it was first released. Futuremark announced new software patches for all our supported benchmarks; 3DMark06, 3DMark05 and PCMark05, that enables benchmarking under Microsoft Vista.
Available immediately, these free downloadable software patches and installers provides the official updated version to our benchmarks. Only scores obtained via these new versions, along with approved drivers, should be used in valid performance statistics, reviews, comparisons and services provided by Futuremark.
In addition to a few bug fixes, the following has also been changed
The Advanced & Professional Editions will continue to show the results offline, but the latest builds of the supported Futuremark benchmarks introduce a new feature for all Basic Edition (Free) users - the score is viewable online only. This new feature will enable new users to get an online analysis of their system, and to quickly & easily compare their results to others. The new online service called "Result Analyzer" is one of the key elements of the next generation of benchmarks from Futuremark.
